The story of Hana Events Ug began not in a boardroom or with a business plan, but in the heart of a 12-year-old girl organizing her parents’ wedding. That day sparked something remarkable in a young Harriet Nakyanzi, a love for bringing people together, a gift for coordination, and a dream that would eventually become Hana Events Ug.

Founded in 2023, Hana Events Ug is more than an events company; it is the manifestation of lived passion, bold purpose, and professional excellence. Born out of personal conviction and nurtured with heartfelt dedication, Hana Events Ug is committed to transforming ordinary gatherings into memorable experiences that reflect culture, character, and celebration.

Hana Events Ug is focused on redefining the events experience across Africa and beyond. We began our journey with a simple yet powerful goal—to provide exceptional, personalized, and impactful event management services that go beyond aesthetics and deliver true value. Empowering Youth Through Events

We employ and train youth from various communities, some of whom are underprivileged, as ushers, event assistants, cleaners and logistics support, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth).

Sustainability at Heart

Through eco-conscious event planning, waste minimization and management as well as support for local vendors, we contribute to environmental sustainability and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production).

From local NGOs and community-based organizations to international development partners and corporate institutions, Hana Events Ug has served a diverse clientele across Uganda, Africa, and the Diaspora (USA, Canada, Sweden, Australia, United Arab Emirates among others).

Some of the Organisations and programs we have worked with include:

Business Network International (BNI), MTN Uganda, Rotary International, National Coffee Research Institute (NaCORI), The Serene Dream Wedding, Dominate Conference, Kibz Vision Ltd, HK properties, Suits and Suits Club among others.

We measure success not only by how beautiful an event looks but also by the ripple effects it creates and every event is a platform for impact. We intentionally hire and mentor young people, equipping them with skills in hospitality, logistics, and coordination. These youth, some from less privileged families, gain practical experience, income and career opportunities.

• Over 70 youth (50 ushers & 20 cleaners) trained and employed through seasonal and contract-based events.
• Supported over 80 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) by sourcing local content for event services.

Through sustainability-conscious choices like reusable décor, local sourcing, and waste management, we also align with global sustainability goals, especially:
